Merry F**king Christmas

Well,  it's that joyous time of year again. You know, when our ears are constantly assaulted by the little ditties calculated to make the sap rise and turn into syrupy sentimentality over the alleged birth of our Savior.

Concomitant with that, there are some pretty impressive suggestions out there about the worst Christmas songs going and, while I do not agree with most lists or have not heard a lot of the commercially generated trash concocted to harvest a few Yuletide dollars, I am down with the concept.

But some traditional songs make their way onto my list because they are treacly and over-played. "Little Drummer Boy" drives me into paroxysms of rage, for example. "My Favorite Things" is on my list as well. In fact, channeling my inner George Carlin, one of "my favorite things" for Christmas would be to take EVERY LIVING ARTIST whoever did a cover of this cloying, saccharine dirge out into the snow and beat them to death with a rusty tire iron.

..in time with the drum beat, of course!

On the other hand, some make my top ten faves precisely because they are irreverent and do not get over-played. An example; this is the IN A GADDA DA VIDA (long) version:

TANGENTIAL EXIT NOTE: Add "Chestnuts Roasting Over and Open Fire" to the list of the most despised. Another wish of mine would be to have Nat King Cole and other cover artists' chestnuts roasting over an open fire. It must be painful!

Real Shit..

Semi-Final 2018 Midterm BDA

Doing some BDA (Battle Damage Assessment) and not wishing to be a Pollyanna, I would bet that the Dems would trade places with us if they could. Or, put another way, I sure would not wish to trade places with them.

(1) We have the Presidency -- and Trump is in office after having accomplished a minor miracle in two years against incredible headwinds versus unhinged and insane Dem and Media opposition and incredible GOPe foot-dragging.

(2) We increased our Senate margin by two with the possible addition of another after the MS Special Election. (Yes, I make allowances for continued larceny.) There are 33 seats up in 2020 with 20 for the (R)s and 12 for the (D)s. However a lot of those seats are in STRONG (R) states. Weakest is Susan Collins in Maine but she won with a 68% margin last time and, after that incredible performance in the Kavanaugh hearings, we should make it a point to support her. Not a conservative but a logical, thoughtful Senator. Remember that Doug Jones (D-AL) is up and if the GOPe puts up a decent candidate, the seat should be taken back in heavily (R) Alabama. An excellent analysis of the Senate exists here.

(3) We lost the House but with only 36 Dem pick-ups (so far, ibidem). This means we only have to pick up 20 seats (actually less) to regain control of the House. It will be a POTUS year so the likelihood of doing this with increased POTUS turnout is very good.

(4) The Dems will be in a situation of "be careful of what you wish for" as they wrestle with each other over leftists socialism versus old-fashioned liberalism as the beast way forward. The cat fight for Speaker between Pelosi and the Left Wing Socialists will be epic. And, if she wins, we can continue to sit back and watch the lunacy of her running the House and chairpersons like Maxi-Pad Waters running the asylum. Think of 230 odd rednecks in a whorehouse with credit cards.

(5) The Republicans purged the House of Paul Ryan and almost 45 of the #NeverTrump footdraggers. Good Riddance! (*spits*) Maybe their holding action will unify them in preparation for 2020 when, hopefully, more pro-Trump candidates will show up.

(6) The MOST IMPORTANT THING to be done is to flush that crapfest RNC Chair -- Mutt Rumbley's niece -- and get someone in there who literally has balls. The RNC's inability to fend off the egregious larceny of the DNC and affiliates after the votes were cast is sickening and inexcusable. The woman should be taken out and shot.

As the past two elections, we are at the crossroads with 2020 coming up and we had better strap on, get ready to cut wire and sort some assholes out -- theirs and ours.

Excuse my coarse language, but a little ball-grinding on a Friday afternoon..

..now that does not make me feel any better but is adequately expresses my feelings as regards the imperialistic, elitist, dickheads who run our lives here in California.

The short across my bow this afternoon came in the form of an email alert from Jim Hoft's Gateway Pundit blog. For those of you who may or may not remember (or even care), one of Hoft's mysterious moderators banned me from the site because of some presumably questionable comment I made re Milania Trump. That was, as I recall, around March or April 12016. After a discussion with Jim via email, I was told things were back to normal. But after a few posts, the ban hammer notice reappeared.

I just let it go. However the butt string is still there and if any of this comes out catty, well then..you understand.

Anyway, to get back on point. Hoft sent an email to alert his readers of a "double secret probation" DMV available for the royalty in Sacramento while we proles swelter out in the hot Summer sun waiting to renew our licenses, etc. The story is below. You look it up on TGP; I am not doing any of Jim's work for him.

So, as the headline proclaims, there's some mysto something abo9ut the secret DMV office but nowhere does that link seem apparent until you click on the KCRA. Anyway, it leads you to this story from the TV station on the secret spot:

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) —

In California, long lines are a fact of life at Department of Motor Vehicles offices across the state, but for California lawmakers and their legislative staffers, there’s an alternative.

KCRA has learned of a DMV office that is not open to the public.

It’s located inside the Legislative Office Building on N Street, adjacent to the state Capitol.

The office, inside Room 121, has no markings on the door and was locked when KCRA visited it on Thursday, but after knocking, a worker confirmed it was a DMV office and said it’s set up to handle customer complaints that escalate to the legislative branch.

However, having a private office for legislators and their Capitol staff is a source of frustration for Assemblyman Jim Patterson, R-Fresno. His request for an official DMV audit was denied when three Democrats -- Senators Ricardo Lara, of Los Angeles; Ben Allen, of Santa Monica; and Jim Beall, of San Jose -- abstained from voting.

“I've been here six years and I'm not surprised that legislators have given themselves special privileges and perks that typical Californians just don't get,” Patterson said

When asked how constituents might feel about a special office for lawmakers, Lara wasn't too sure about the office's purpose.

“Well, I think it's open to the public, if I recall,” Lara said. “I'm not sure, I haven't used it."

The special office, which has a locked door, is not open to the public.

DMV officials told KCRA 3 that the special office near the Capitol has two staffers who handle 10,000 requests dealing with constituent questions or concerns.

The department didn’t deny serving lawmakers and their staffers, but insisted that 90 percent of the work done there is to solve consumer problems brought to their attention by lawmakers.

As for his reason for abstaining from voting on the audit, Lara believes more is going to be done to fix the problem.

“An audit is only going to delay this another eight months,” Lara said. “The governor has committed to me he’s going to work on this issue effectively, immediately.”

Patterson charged that Democratic lawmakers were pressured by Gov. Jerry Brown to abstain.

“We know for a fact that the governor weighed in with these members, told them expressly not to vote for it,” Patterson said.

Lara denied that, telling KCRA 3, "No, absolutely not. We actually talked to his office and said, 'What are we doing now?'"

Allen told reporters that Brown called him “to explain how his office would hold the DMV accountable." Allen added the audit would have taken too long and revealed nothing new.

While there will be no audit, DMV is getting an additional $16 million to hire 230 more workers at field offices across the state.

The department announced it is also adding Saturday office hours at 60 field offices and is now allowing customers to bring food and drinks with them.

“We’re throwing everything at this that we can," Brown’s office said in a statement. "And we’re grateful for the legislature’s quick action to approve and fund more DMV staff. We share their strong commitment to getting this fixed.”

But Patterson remained frustrated by the lack of a comprehensive audit.

“We are being sentenced again to long, interminable lines with no end in sight," Patterson said. "The bureaucracy cannot fix itself."

DMV Director Jean Shiomoto declined KCRA’s request for an interview.

Walking Away at Light Speed..

I am up early this morning because..well..I am up early. But also, I am growing more and more excited about the #WalkAway campaign started by the handsome young gay hairdresser, Brandon Straka. While I have been following this for a while, I only now have had the opportunity to comment on it in this blog. But I firmly believe that it is THE MOST INSIDIOUS threat to the Democrats and the left because it is a cancer that is eating away at them from the inside. Here is Mr Straka's eloquent video:

The movement was started about two months ago and is rapidly reaching orbital velocity. Here are some excerpts from a July 1st American Thinker piece on the phenomenon. It is typical of many such articles showing up lately.

While I continue to browse and can gather stats, I base my belief that the #WalkAway movement may reach escape velocity on the same gut feel I got when viewing the comment traffic preceding the 2016 election: there was a massive flood of Pro-Trump traffic versus an absolute paucity of left-leaning, pro-Hillary comments. When the Hillary comments were made, they were assertively and energetically beaten back by a fusillade of responses.

If you go out onto YouTube, you will see a seemingly unending stream of #WalkAway testimonials -- all of them sincere and sometimes heart-rending -- describing the contributors' disillusionment over liberal intractability and viciousness. Most importantly, these videos are made by blacks, Hispanics, gays, women, and even transgenders -- the core types that comprise the bedrock of Dem identity politics.

When I can, I respond to the authors of these videos and tell them that it is not necessary for them to join the Republican Party (for I believe the GOPe to be fully half of the problem in DC) nor is it necessary for them to even become conservative. What is essential, however, is that they keep their beliefs, dreams, opinions, and principals that serve to make America a better country and that they be prepared to discuss them in a kind and genuine manner without the bitterness and rancor and hate of the party or political leaning they have chosen to leave.

I am excited over the prospect of welcoming these people and having all of us grow together as Americans in an effort to making this country great again.

Well, OWN THIS: Trump got off his ass and went down to NoLa when it flooded . He did more than talk, he brought in ONE MILLION DOLLARS OF RELIEF and helped hand it out to those who need it. Did not bat an eye. Did not take a 20-mile plane ride from Martha's Vineyard to Nantucket to hold a campaign rally with brie-chomping, chardonnay-swilling elites like Cher and other douches. Did not ride around in limos snapping at his handlers and aides because his tampons were inserted sideways, etc.

So do us ALL a favor. F**k off and die already!

Stuart Varney held an an interview with Mark Janus who brought the suit against the unions and took it all the way to the SC. While bashed by unions, media, and affiliated stooges as a dupe of "the wealthy and corporate CEOs".

Hardly that, Mr Janus epitomizes the average working stiff yearning to breathe free from onerous dues that support an agenda he does not believe in. That's all by the boards now as the SC struck down the requirement that employees opt out of union membership.

Suspending Belief

Seemingly at the beginning of this current wave of unseemly, boorish, and downright dangerous behavior directed at President Trump and the officers of the Executive Branch, there was an incident when, prior to President Trump entered the Capitol to speak, some brash intern shouted an epithet to greet him.



After a time, the subject of the intern who allegedly shouted the "F**K YOU" epithet at the President was researched and the perp has been tracked down and identified and -- supposedly -- disciplined. Here are the particulars and contact numbers. Firstly, from the Washington Times:

I personally will email and phone the Senator's office and express my displeasure at the lack of propriety and manners AND CIVILITY that her employee showed. In what seemed to be the kickoff of an insidious wave of boorish and threatening behavior to the President of the United States, his cabinet and other members of his executive branch, it would seem that the suspension is hardly sufficient in gravity

The only proper resolution of this matter by the Senator would be the immediate dismissal of that ill-mannered young woman and an abject apology issued for her behavior.

Aaron Jacobs, Sen. Hassan’s communications director, said Marriott, 21, was not terminated but was only suspended for a week for her behavior. She will continue to work for the senator’s office till August.

“We are aware of the situation and have taken disciplinary action, including a one-week suspension and revoking her Congressional intern ID badge, thereby restricting her access to the Capitol, in response to her breach of office policies regarding respectful and appropriate conduct,” said Jacobs in a statement. “We also facilitated contact with Capitol police.”

Reports that Marriott was not fired from her position infuriated a number of Twitter users. “How the heck does this behavior NOT get you terminated as an intern?” wrote one user, while another tweeted, “why not fired? should be..much worse than Rosanne Barr.”

Yet another Twitter user said: “Unacceptable! When you blatantly disrespect the office of the President, no matter who's occupying it, you need to go. Shame on the NH Senator!!”

After yelling the profanity, Marriott raced away from the spot, forcing the authorities to issue a “be on lookout” for the woman. However, they were soon able to identify and track her down and question her to determine if she posed a legitimate threat to the POTUS.

After establishing the fact that Marriott was a not a threat, the authorities concluded that there wasn’t much to be done in the case. Moreover, according to the sources, Marriott’s decision to heckle the president was an “impulsive” one and not something that was carefully planned.

She was among the group of interns who gathered at the venue. The interns were bantering back and forth about possibly yelling something at the president and all of them “egged” Marriott on to take the lead. That is when she came up with the insult.

Although she was not terminated, Marriott’s Capitol pass was revoked and her duties were restricted to Hassan’s office on the third floor of the Hart Senate office building.

After news of Marriott being the intern who yelled at Trump was made public, Ann Coulter took to Twitter to express her anger. “I KNEW it was going to be a girl. (Caitlin Marriott, intern for Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-N.H.) And you thought it was a good idea to give them the vote,” she wrote.

Many people took her tweet to mean she was rallying against women being given the right the vote, which made them shower the conservative social and political commentator with criticism.

The Dems and the left think they have him in the frame for the election with this issue but it is astounding how out of touch they are. Entering the kill zone and squarely in the sights, they hardly utter a syllable palatable to those of us who work, pay axes, and expect the government to protect us from this degradation of our culture.
